WELCOME TO OUR CROYDON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNAE YEARS 1950 - 1957

This website is mainly for Croydon High School alumnae, who were in the Senior School from 1950 up to 1957 and we sat our ‘O’ Levels in 1955.  Miss Adams was our Headmistress.

 In the 1980’s, several local ‘girls’ from our year were meeting up for coffee, when out came the 1954 school photo.  Faces were given names, a list was made and slowly over the next 10 years we managed to find contact details for over 90% of our year.  We were thrilled!  Some preferred not to be involved and sadly, out of 97 names, 14 of our year had died - this is now 21 members.

Our main aim is to keep in touch and share our memories.  We have held at least 25 reunions over the years in our houses and in pubs/hotels both in the Croydon area and in London. Currently, we attend the Alumnae Network Lunch in June, organised by the Ivy Link at the school in Selsdon, and in 2017 our year numbered 27 alumnae all celebrating 60 years since leaving school.  A wonderful event.
